Before my ambrosial good-morning kiss.

Before my ambrosial good-morning kiss.

Before my ambrosial good-morning kiss
The night has been ticked away by the clock
And dawn’s almost here to light up our lot
But sleep is a luxury no one miss
When resting in hand he can find a lock
Of utterly gorgeous and fragrant hair
Another hard proof of a love affair
More solid than steel and more firm than rock.
Awake all night, rapture and mad despair
To offer and take the most sweet of fruits
That grow up a tree of the deepest roots
Such perfect a match such a lovely pair:
And now that the glorious has risen sun
He’ll witness how exalted our bodies are
